PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of quickly detecting abnormality such as breakage of a film/electrode assembly in a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A theoretical heating value Wthat is a theoretical heating value during power generation of a fuel cell, a latent heat cooling amount Wthat is a cooling amount of a fuel cell 11 by latent heat absorbed when water is phase-changed to steam in the fuel cell, and a radiator cooling amount Wthat is a cooling amount of the fuel cell 11 by the cooling water circulated in a cooling water circulation path are calculated (step S1). Then, when a value (W-W-W) found by subtracting the latent heat cooling amount Wand the radiator cooling amount Wfrom the theoretical heating value Wis larger than a predetermined threshold (step S2, YES), it is determined that abnormality occurs to the fuel cell 11 (step S3). |
