PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for allowing a user to identify image quality in each region of a reconstituted image generated on the basis of an acoustic wave signal.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition apparatus for acquiring characteristic information in a subject by using the acoustic wave signal output from a detection element having detected an acoustic wave propagated in the subject includes: a characteristic information acquisition unit for acquiring the characteristic information in each point of interest in the subject by using the acoustic wave signal; an accuracy information generation unit for generating information showing a difference in accuracy between plural pieces of characteristic information by using acoustic wave detection information as a condition relating to the detection of the acoustic sound wave; and a display information generation unit for generating display information capable of identifying a difference in accuracy between the pieces of characteristic information by using the information showing the characteristic information in each point of interest and a difference in accuracy, and causing a display unit to display the display information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
