PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector including a lens shift mechanism having breakage prevention function.SOLUTION: The lens shift mechanism includes a movable part, a driving part, a switching mechanism 7, and a transmission part. The switching mechanism 7 has a first gear 71 engaged with the driving part, a second gear 72 engaged with the transmission part, a switching member 73, and a coil spring 74 for biasing the switching member 73 toward the second gear 72. The second gear 72 has a first tooth part 72G, and the switching member 73 has a second tooth part 73G engaged with the first tooth part 72G by a biasing force of the coil spring 74. The switching mechanism transmits a driving force from the first gear 71 to the second gear 72 within the movable range of the movable part. When the movable part reaches a limit of the movable range and the driving force is generated, the switching member 73 is moved against the biasing force of the coil spring 74 toward a direction in which the switching member 73 is separated from the second gear 72, so that the driving force is not transmitted from the first gear 71 to the second gear 72. |
