PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location pin-mounting structure which enables self-tapping to be applied to a mounting hole without deviating and inclining an axis.SOLUTION: A mounting structure for mounting a housing (32) of a vehicle lamp to the car body (35) side, includes: a boss (20) formed with a mounting hole (20a); and a location pin (10) including a pin portion (10a) to be inserted into a socket (36) at the car body side, and a screw portion (16) to be screwed into the mounting hole of the boss. The location pin is a self-tapping screw. The screw portion of the location pin has a tapered tip portion (17) thinned at its tip. In the mounting hole, a plurality of protruding portions extended in the axial direction of the mounting hole, and a plurality of grooves (25) are alternately formed in the circumferential direction. The protruding portions includes inlet tapered portions (22) tapered so that an inner diameter is gradually reduced from an inlet of the mounting hole toward the depth, thickness tapered portions (23) increased in a thickness in the circumferential direction, and constant protruding portions (24) having a constant thickness in the circumferential direction. |
