An Nb-Ti based superconducting wire according to the present invention is configured in such a way that a stabilizer and an Nb-Ti alloy bar are hybridized and are then subjected to reduction working. The Nb-Ti alloy bar has a grain size of 200 µm or less in terms of average equivalent circle diameter at the stage of hybridizing the Nb-Ti alloy bar with the stabilizer.
