[Class 65 (ii)] [See also Group XXVI] Hinge or gudgeon pins are retained in position by a spring ring having relatively rigid parts d<1>, d<2>, &c. connected by parts g<2>, g<3>, &c., of reduced section and considerable curvature and thus being relatively resilient. Recesses k<1>, k<2>, are formed to engage the inserting tool. In a modification the ring is formed to contract inwardly into a recess in the pin.</p> |
