PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand drying device that prevents the blow-back of air to a user, while reducing an amount of water droplet scattered to outside from a hand drying chamber.SOLUTION: A hand drying device 1 has: a box 2; a hand drying chamber 3 with an upper opening 9 where hands are inserted from the upside of the box 2; a high pressure air flow generator 4 provided in the inside of the box 2 and generating a high pressure air; a nozzle provided in the hand drying chamber 3, and injecting the high pressure air generated in the high pressure air flow generator 4 into the hand drying chamber 3; hand detection sensors 6, 7 provided in the hand drying chamber 3 and detecting the presence or absence of hands in the hand drying chamber 3; and a control unit 31 for driving the high pressure air flow generator 4, when the hand detection sensors 6, 7 detect that the hands are present in the hand drying chamber 3. A side exhaust port 8 extending in the vertical direction of the box 2 and exhausting outside the high pressure air injected from the nozzle is provided at the side of the hand drying chamber 3, and the width X in the upper part of side exhaust port 8 is wider than the width Y in the lower part of the side exhaust port 8. |
