The method 300 includes receiving a request from a primary electronic device for allowing at least one secondary electronic device to access the financial account based on one or more access rules, where the financial account is associated with a primary user and includes a primary account limit. The at least one secondary electronic device is associated with at least one secondary user. The at least one secondary electronic device is allowed to access the financial account based on the one or more access rules, where the one or more access rules includes at least assigning a secondary account limit to at least one secondary electronic device. The secondary account limit is at least a portion of the primary account limit.
