PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collection unit capable of calling user's attention to filter dust removal, and a vacuum cleaner including the dust collection unit.SOLUTION: A dust collection unit includes: a dust cup 501 collecting dust separated by a swirling air flow; a filter part 551 covering an opening part of the dust cup; a dust removal mechanism part attached to the filter part; and a cup cover unit 570 covering the dust removal mechanism part and the filter part and having an air-flow discharge port. The cup cover unit includes: a cup cover body 573; a cup cover handle 591 provided on the outer surface of the cup cover body; and a dust removal operation part provided in the cup cover body. The dust removal operation part has a dust removal handle 583 provided in the cup cover body so as to be exposed to the outside, for operating dust removal of the filter part by the dust removal mechanism part. The tip end of the cup cover handle is oppositely placed in the vicinity of the dust removal handle. |
