PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stains of a sheet due to toner for a lateral conveyance type transfer device.SOLUTION: A transfer device 10 includes: a transfer roller 15 provided so as to form a nip part N in contact with a photoreceptor drum 31, and for conveying a sheet 4 in a lateral direction along a horizontal direction on the nip part N; a first guide member 16 disposed opposite to a front surface of the sheet 4; a second guide member 17 disposed opposite to a back surface of the sheet 4; and a pressing roller 40 that is rotatably supported on an end of the first guide member 16 in the nip part N side, and contacts with the front surface of the sheet 4. The sheet 4 closes a space between the pressing roller 40 and the second guide member 17. |
