PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily grasp a decoded image with a low degree of deterioration in image quality of a feature region.SOLUTION: An image selection method includes: generating a plurality of pieces of encoded data obtained by encoding a plurality of frame images included in a moving image; calculating an index value showing a degree of deterioration in image quality, which occurs due to encoding, on at least one type of feature region which is previously set in each frame image; selecting a decoded image whose degree of deterioration which the index value shows is the lowest from among a plurality of decoded images obtained by decoding a plurality of pieces of generated encoded data; and displaying the selected decoded image. |
