PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device and a communication system setting method, capable of switching communication system without any user operation.SOLUTION: A radio communication device, for transmitting a reception signal received from a base station to another radio communication device and for transmitting a reception signal received from another radio communication device to a base station, includes: a reception part for receiving reception signals from a base station and another radio communication device; a storage part for storing information based on a signal received by the reception part; a first communication module for transmitting a signal based on information stored in the storage part with a first communication system; a second communication module for transmitting a signal based on information stored in the storage part with a second communication system having a faster communication speed than the first communication system; and a setting part for setting a communication module, for transmitting a signal to a base station or another radio communication device based on the amount of information stored in the storage part, from either the first communication module or the second communication module. |
