PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist separator which can maintain capturing ability of mist of oil or water over a long period of time, can suppress increase of pressure loss and can exhibit excellent durability.SOLUTION: In a mist separator 10 including a filter medium 18 for removing oil or water from gas, the filter medium is constituted by a plurality of nonwoven fabrics having density different from a high density layer to a low density layer, and a water-repellent and oil-repellent component has a water-repellent and oil-repellent coating film bonded to the filter medium body by chemical bonding. The filter medium is arranged in the mist separator in such a manner that the high density layer is positioned on the upstream side of a gas flow.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
