PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start-up method of a fault tolerant computer system which detaches a module of one of computers from the one computer when an error has been detected in the module at start-up, and also separates a module of another computer corresponding to the module having the error from the one computer.SOLUTION: A first computer 110 comprises: first hardware diagnostic means 117 which diagnoses first hardware; first error information update means 118: and first error information verification means 116 which, when error information stored in an error information storage unit 134 indicates a module of the first computer, detaches the module from the first computer, and when the error information indicates a module of a second computer 120, detaches a module of the first computer corresponding to the module of the second computer from the first computer. The second computer also comprises the same functions. |
