The invention concerns a method for adjusting the compression course of electrical contacts (32, 33) in a unitary cut-off block (80). On the inside, the unitary cut-off block comprises a casing (31), a fixed contact (32) and a movable contact (33) mounted slidingly on a movable contact-holder (38), the contact-holder being connected to an attachment head (51). The method comprises the following steps: placing the movable contact-holder (38) such that the movable contact (33) is in contact with the fixed contact (32); positioning an adjustment jig (600) between a reference surface of the casing (31) and a bearing surface of the attachment head (51); and adjusting a length of a transmission pin (52) connecting the attachment head (51) to the movable contact-holder (38).
