A magnetic device for detecting the rest position of the rotor of a DC motor, comprising a magnetic sensor (CM) of the rest position, placed on a strip (P) fitted to the casing (CA) of the motor. The rest position is defined by a magnetic marker (MM) placed on a gear (W) of the motor that is securely fastened to the rotor, the gear (W) and the rotor being continuously driven in rotation when the motor is in operation. The magnetic sensor (MM) is placed a set distance away from the magnetic marker (MM) in the rest position of the rotor of the DC motor. The device furthermore comprises a magnetic guide (1) placed between the magnetic sensor (CM) and the magnetic marker (MM) and ensuring the magnetic flux generated by the magnetic marker (MM) is channelled over the set distance. The device is applicable to the manufacture of windshield wiper motors for automotive vehicles. |
