In a case where a job for executing both one-sided printing and two-sided printing is received, printing is controlled based on whether or not a predetermined type of sheets in which there is an order between the sheets are used for the received job whereby productivity is improved in a case where the predetermined type of sheets are not used for the received job, and a mismatch between content of a page and an order of the sheets does not occur in a case where the predetermined type of sheets is used for the received job.

1. A printing apparatus comprising:
a controller having a processor and a memory, configured:
to receive a print job that includes instructions for at least:
printing a first page of image data on a front side of a first sheet,printing nothing on a back side of the first sheet,printing a second page of the image data on a front side of a second sheet,printing a third page of the image data on a back side of the second sheet, andspecify a type of sheets that are to be used for both the first sheet and the second sheet; in a first case wherein the type of sheets is specified as tabbed sheets, the controller causes a print unit to print image data in the following order:
firstly printing the first page of image data on the front side of the first sheet, the first sheet being not passed through a double sided conveyance path;secondly printing the second page of the image data on the front side of the second sheet, the second sheet being passed through the double sided conveyance path, andthirdly printing the third page of the image data on the back side of the second sheet, in a second case wherein the type of sheets is specified as non tabbed sheets, the controller causes the print unit to print image data in the following order:
firstly printing the second page of the image data on the front side of the second sheet, the second sheet being passed through the double sided conveyance path;secondly printing the first page of image data on the front side of the first sheet, the first sheet being not passed through a double sided conveyance path; andthirdly printing the third page of the image data on the back side of the second sheet.
