A fluid filtration media is disclosed that incorporates a channel depth layer to prevent collapse between media layers for increased filtration efficiency while maintaining increased filter life.

a first media layer formed of a non-woven material; a second media layer, distinct from the first media layer, formed of a non-woven material; and a channel depth layer formed of an extruded mesh material disposed between, and contacting, the first non-woven layer and the second non-woven layer.
