1. A copolymer whose overall structure as such, and/or an optionally present segment A of the overall structure having at least 10 bivalent structural units, contain as bivalent structural units, in each case,
i) 40-90 mol % of a basic structural unit (I), ii) 10-60 mol % of a nonpolar dicarboxylic acid derivative structural unit (II), iii) 0-50 mol % of a polar dicarboxylic acid derivative structural unit (III), iv) 0-50 mol % of an oxygen group structural unit (IV), and v) 0-40 mol % of a head group structural unit (V),wherein the basic structural unit (I) is produced by reacting a monomer (Ix) containing an olefinic double bond, and does not include any species coming under said structural units (II) to (V),said nonpolar dicarboxylic acid derivative structural unit (II) is present in accordance with one or more of the formulas from the group consisting of (IIa), (IIb), (IIc), and (IId)whereinK1, K2, K3 and K4 each are the same or different, and are each represented by connectivity options in the polymer chain with the proviso, that exactly two of said connectivity options are realized per general formula,X1 and X2 are the same or different and each independently are represented by NRx and/or O
wherein Rx is the same or different and is represented by H and/or a branched or unbranched C1-C12 alkyl radical,Y1 is the same or different and is represented by H, a branched or unbranched C1-C24 alkyl radical, a C6-C18 aryl radical and/or a branched or unbranched C6-C18 arylalkyl radical,R1 and R2 each are the same or different and are each independently represented by a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon radical having at least 50 carbon atoms,E1 is same or different and is represented by a branched or unbranched organic radical which contains at least four functional groups which are present in the form of ether groups and/or ester groups,said polar dicarboxylic acid derivative structural unit (III) is present in accordance with one or more of the formulas from the group consisting of (IIIa) and (IIIb)whereinK1, K2, K3 and K4 each are the same or different, and are each represented by connectivity options in the polymer chain with the proviso, that exactly two of said connectivity options are realized per general formula,said oxygen group structural unit (IV) does not include any species coming under dicarboxylic acid derivative structural unit (II) and is present in accordance with one or more of the formulas from the group consisting of (IVa), (IVb), (IVc), and (IVd)whereinK1, K2, K3 and K4 each are the same or different, and are each represented by connectivity options in the polymer chain with the proviso, that exactly two of said connectivity options are realized per general formula,X3 and X4 each are the same or different and each independently of one another are represented by NRy and/or O
