[Classes 96 and 140] A composite reinforced paper suitable for box corner stay strips comprises two paper sheets united by an adhesive such as asphalt and reinforcing fibres embedded in the adhesive layer, one of the paper sheets being provided with a gummed exterior surface 4, and the other embossed or indented e.g. by a roller 8. The gum may form a continuous or patterned coating. The product shown has transversely extending fibres, and is cut lengthwise into stay strips. |
