A display device includes a display unit, a light source disposed on a back surface side of the display unit and that irradiates light to the display unit, an optical member disposed between the display unit and the light source, and a support member disposed so that the light irradiated from the light source is incident to a side surface of the support member and so that the light incident to the side surface is transmitted through the support member. The support member supports the optical member from a back surface side of the optical member, and the support member includes an entrance portion comprising an inclined surface that refracts the light incident to the side surface and a light guide portion that guides the light refracted at the inclined surface to an optical member side of the support member.

a display; a light source disposed on a back surface side of the display and that irradiates light to the display; an optical member disposed between the display and the light source; and a support member comprising:
a first surface having a predetermined area;a second surface that is a back surface of the first surface;a third surface adjacent to the first surface and having an area that is smaller than the predetermined area;an entrance portion formed in a concave shape in only one of either the first surface or the second surface and comprising an inclined surface inclined with respect to the first surface; anda light guide portion that guides the light refracted at the inclined surface to an optical member side of the support member, wherein the support member supports the optical member from a back surface side of the optical member.
