The interior components comprise an upper portion (100) and a lower portion (101), between which a cavity (103) is formed. The foam material is introduced into an area between the upper and lower portions of the interior components. A punching unit is mounted on the upper and lower portions of the interior components, and is equipped with a cutting unit that is retractable into the cavity formed between the upper and lower portions of the interior components. The cutting unit is heated by a heating element. An independent claim is included for a method for producing interior components by foaming.
