The invention relates to a sensor for measuring the level of liquid within transparent or translucid containers and to a process for manufacturing the said sensor. According to the invention, the sensor is intended to be functionally connected to an electronic module (4) that interacts with a computer (5) which manages stocks based on the measurements performed by the sensor (1), where the sensor (1) comprises a data acquisition element (10) consisting of a flexible support (11) coated, at the front and side parts, with a silicone layer (18) and provided with a central band (14) on which microcrystals are deposited and which is confined on either side by some continuous electric paths (15) while on the face opposite to the support (11) there is a common electric path (16), the sensor (1) having at its ends some connection pieces (2, 3) ensuring connection between the microcrystals on the central band (14) and the electric paths (15, 16). The process, as claimed by the invention, consists in making a data acquisition element by placing a central band with microcrystals on a flexible support and attaching some continuous electric paths on one face of the support and a common electric path on the other face, cross-cutting the support, according to the dimensions of the container on which it will be mounted, marking some zones of segments of photovoltaic cells, coating the support with a silicon layer, connecting it with an electronic module which analyses and processes the received data. |
