The scissor lift (10) comprises a base unit (12), and a supporting unit (14) provided with a drive unit (18) for adjusting a wiper assembly (16), and a pair of scissor elements (20A,20B) connected together via a hinge. One of the scissor elements is fixed to the base unit through a rotary bearing (34) and the other scissor element is movably arranged in the supporting unit through another rotary bearing. A safety device has a monitoring element, safety element, drive controller, and a drive brake which is operated in the event of fault generation. |
