The invention relates to a complex video monitoring system which integrates a wide range of sensors mounted on and inside a container-type structure that is, in its turn, detachably mounted on a trailer, the container also comprising a working and resting space for two persons who can ensure system operation by means of a software running on a computer and managing the information taken over from the sensors while processing, displaying and storing them on various storage media. It is power-supplied from a storage battery, an electric generator and a solar panel system, as well. The main sensors used within the system are the following: a thermographic camera and a CCD camera mounted in a sensor block (BS1), a highly sensitive CCD camera and a laser telemeter mounted in another sensor block (BS2), as well as a field radar with electronic scanning, where the two blocks of sensors (BS1 and BS2) are mounted on the lateral arms of a mobile platform and the field radar is mounted on a fixed support, above the platform, the detected targets being positioned by the software on a digital map of the monitored area, where the mobile platform can be directed by the system operator towards the detected targets, either manually, using a control block with a joystick, or automatically, in which case the platform receives automatic positioning commands from the system. Two image fusion and target tracking boards are also integrated in the sensor block (BS1), the fusion being performed by the operator's manual selecting of two of the three video cameras so that, by combining two images from different spectral ranges, an image with more details can be obtained. |
