The invention is related to railway automatics, telecontrol and communication (below called RATC) and can be used in trackside equipment of signalling and interlocking devices designed for giving light signals that are expressed by colour, shape and number of signal indications for ensuring safe traffic and clear organization of traffic and shunting operation. The technical objective of the invention is a decrease in power consumption by light-optical LED modules by 30-50% while retaining guaranteed activation and operation of the light-control relay in RATC system. The required technical result is attained by using, for relay actuation, a starting device that is automatically turned off after attraction of the relay armature. Further holding of the light-control relay armature is provided be electric current consumed by the light-optical LED module. Power consumption saving is achieved due to the difference between the light-control relay armature attraction current and the holding current. The advantage of the above-described technical solution invention is a decrease in power consumption by light-optical LED modules by 30-50% while retaining guaranteed activation and operation of the light-control relay in RATC system. The starting device is made of standard electronic components. Experimental operation of light-optical LED modules using the method of activation and operation of the light-control relay using the starting device showed attainment of the technical objective and economical effect. |
