A fence spreader is described that includes an elongated support member having a first face and a second face, wherein the first face and the second face are located on opposite sides of the support member. A plurality of receiving grooves across each first and second face are spaced along the length of the support member. Each receiving groove is configured to hold a fence wire in a tight or snap fit, and the receiving grooves are configured such that, in use, adjacent fence wires are positioned on opposite sides of the fence spreader. The fence spreader is a single piece fence spreader that has the advantage of being inexpensive, fast and easy to fit to a fence line and avoids the need for nails or other extra fittings. |
