Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for treating Gaucher disease with a glucocerebrosidase, such as velaglucerase. The treatment includes treatment of Gaucher disease in a subject wherein the subject is currently taking or has previously received a glucocerebrosidase enzyme replacement therapy. Additionally disclosed is method of identifying a subject suitable for treatment with an alternative glucocerebrosidase enzyme replacement therapy and compositions related to the diagnosis and treatment of the subject. Additionally disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition comprising velaglucerase, a lyoprotectant such as sucrose, a buffer salt such as sodium citrate and a stabilising agent such as polysorbate 20. |
