The core body as a constituent part of stators and/or rotors of electric machines has a main body (15) which is provided, along the circumference thereof, with grooves (17, 17'). At least some grooves (17) have an asymmetrical outline. The core body is provided with at least one mirror axis (S1,… S2), relative to which the asymmetrical grooves (17) are arranged mirror-symmetrically in the core body. The grooves (17, 17') are arranged in groove groups (41, 42). The mirror axis S1, S2 divides the core body into at least two segments (I to IV). At least one groove group (41, 42) is provided in each segment (I to IV). The groove groups are mirror-symmetrical about the mirror axis (S1, S2). |
