A driving method for a display apparatus comprises: determining a relationship between a remaining capacity of a power supply (600) and all preset thresholds; controlling a display panel (300) to display according to a first resolution, and scanning the display panel (300) at a first frequency when the remaining capacity of the power supply (600) is greater than at least one preset threshold; and controlling the display panel (300) to display according to a resolution less than the first resolution and scanning the display panel (300) at a second frequency when the remaining capacity of the power supply (600) is less than a preset threshold, the second frequency being less than the first frequency. When the driving method is used for driving a display apparatus, if a capacity of a power supply (600) is less than a preset threshold, the display resolution is reduced, so that the power consumption of the display apparatus can be effectively reduced, so as t prolong the use time of the power supply (600).
