The invention relates to an optical element (EO) for equipping a lensless sealed beam unit (BO), comprising a source (SP) for generating photons intended to participate in at least one photometric function, a one-piece part (PM) made of a material transparent to said photons, and comprising an entry surface (FE) allowing the generated photons to enter an inner zone (ZI), a rear surface (FR) capable of reflecting, towards the inner zone (ZI), the generated photons that have entered via said entry surface (FE), and a front surface (FV) that forms an exit surface (FS) of the sealed beam unit (BO) and is capable of generating exiting photons that have first been reflected by the rear surface (FR). At least the rear (FR) and front (FV) surfaces have predefined shapes capable of making all of the exiting photons suitable for the photometric function.
