The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bleaching agent that is capable of quickly and easily decoloring melanin dye from body hair while preventing body hair damage or protecting the body hair. The above purpose can be achieved by using as a bleaching auxiliary magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, a magnesium-calcium composite oxide or a mixture thereof.
