Provided is an inverter apparatus that is able to be reduced in size, in which the length of an electric wire that connects the reactor and a printed circuit board with each other can be minimized, and which enables cooling of the reactor. The inverter apparatus controls and varies the operating frequency of an electric motor provided in a refrigerator, and is provided with: a printed circuit board (42); a power device (41) attached to one surface of the printed circuit board (42), and including a converter circuit and a inverter circuit; a reactor (27) disposed on the one surface side of the printed circuit board (42), and having at least a portion thereof disposed within a plane-projection area of the printed circuit board (42); and a cooling device (20) arranged to cool the power device (41) and the reactor (27), with the power device (41) and the reactor (27) being disposed between the printed circuit board (42) and the cooling device (20). |
