A projection display method and apparatus for a virtual object in a virtual space. The method comprises: determining a longitudinal visual angle and horizontal visual angle of a visual image provided by a display device of a virtual reality equipment (101); determining a projection plane in a virtual space according to an optional projection point and projection direction in the virtual space (102); determining a longitudinal imaging angle of an imaging area on the projection plane according to the longitudinal visual angle, and determining a horizontal imaging angle of the imaging area according to the horizontal visual angle, so as to determine the imaging area (103); generating a two-dimensional image in the imaging area from a virtual object in the virtual space in a perspective projection manner (104); and displaying the two-dimensional image on a display screen of the display device (105). The method and apparatus enable a dimensional feeling generated when a user views an image of a virtual object on a display screen to be the same as a dimensional feeling generated when the user views a reality object corresponding to the virtual object in a reality space.
