This invention relates to high throughput methods of determining a viral titer. The instant invention addresses the need for a more rapid and cost effective method of quantitating infectious viral particles in a sample.

1. A method of virus quantification comprising the steps of:
1) providing a sample containing a virus; 2) preparing serial dilutions of the sample; 3) infecting host cells with the virus and incubating the culture; 4) reacting an antigen expressed by the virus in infected cells with an antibody labeled with a fluorescent tag; 5) determining the number of infected cells; and 6) determining the virus titer in the sample.
