The present invention expands the range throughout which a robot device is applicable. A robot device 1 according to one embodiment is equipped with an articulated arm mechanism 200 that transports a workpiece 80 between an external device 50 and workpiece storage spaces 60, 70, and is positioned near the external device 50, which is provided with manual operation units and handles a task to be performed on the workpiece 80. The articulated arm mechanism 200 has a wrist joint part 4 mounted to the tip of an arm section 2 capable of linearly expanding and contracting and further capable of rotating and rising/falling. The wrist joint part 4 has a support part 3 attached thereto for supporting the workpiece 80, and the robot device 1 is characterized in that in order to support the workpiece 80 and operate the manual operation units 54, 55, 56 of the external device 50, the support part 3 has one or more vacuum suction parts 34 configured from elastic bodies. |
