An out-of-head localization processing apparatus (100) according to the present embodiment performs out-of-head localization using an inverse filter for the ear canal transfer function. The out-of-head localization processing apparatus is provided with: an input unit (31) that accepts an input for setting a non-correction band on a frequency axis; a correction-filter generation unit (33) that generates a correction filter by changing a filter coefficient of the inverse filter in the non-correction band; convolution calculation units (11, 12, 21, 22) that perform, using spatial acoustic transfer characteristics, convolution processing on playback signals; filtering units (41, 42) that perform, using the correction filter, convolution processing on the playback signals processed by the convolution calculation units; and headphones (43) that output the correction-filter-convolved playback signals toward a user (U). |
