PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet type developing apparatus configured to control toner particles to be charged in a developing unit in a lower charge area, and to provide an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A wet type developing apparatus 150 includes: an upstream charge application member 131 which is arranged, on a supply member 130, upstream of a rotary contact part n2 in a rotation direction of the supply member 130, to apply electrostatic charges to a toner particle carried on the supply member 130; and a downstream charge application member 121 arranged, on a developer carrier 120, between the rotary contact part n2 in the rotation direction of the developer carrier 120 and a developing part n1, to apply electrostatic charges to the toner particle carried on the developer carrier 120. The downstream charge application member 121 applies electrostatic charges of a polarity opposite to that of the electrostatic charges to be applied to the toner particle by the upstream charge application member 131, to the toner particle. |
