449,848. Inking-pads. HORNEMANN, A., 9, Oxford Street, London. Sept. 7, 1935, No. 24990. [Class 100 (ii)] [See also Group XVII] The lid of a box holding an inking-pad for a hand-stamp is held closed by the engagement of a projection 6 on the front wall of the container portion 1 with an aperture 14 in the front flange of the lid 8, and the extent to which the lid can be closed is limited by projections 7, Fig. 2, or a cambered extension 16, Fig. 5, to the front wall of the box. On depressing the lid at one of its front corners or extreme ends, it rocks slightly about a stop 7 or the surface 16 and causes the aperture 14 to become disengaged from the projection 6. The lid then flies open under the action of springs mounted on the hinge pin. |
