This finger shape estimation device is provided with an image acquisition unit, an image analysis unit, and a finger shape estimation unit. The image acquisition unit acquires an image including a finger shape. The image analysis unit analyzes the image acquired by the image acquisition unit, and acquires a first feature quantity corresponding to the ridge line shape of the finger included in the image. Then, on the basis of the first feature quantity acquired by the image analysis unit, the finger shape estimation unit estimates the finger shape corresponding to the first feature quantity by referring to a collation database at which second feature quantities corresponding to a pre-set, predetermined finger shape are stored. |
