PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a climbing plant detection device capable of surely reporting that climbing plants are climbing a branch while coiling around the branch.SOLUTION: The climbing plant detection device includes: a cylindrical case body 10 mounted to the branch extending obliquely while fixing one end to an electric pole and fixing the other end onto the ground; an optical fiber 20 provided within the case body 10 so as to be curved; a light-emitting part 52 which inputs light to one end of the optical fiber 20; a light-receiving part 54 which receives the light outputted from another end of the optical fiber 20 and performs photoelectric conversion; a detection part 56 which outputs a detection signal when output of the light-receiving part 54 becomes lower than a preset value; and a communication part 58 by which information for identifying the electric pole is added to the detection signal outputted from the detection part 56, and outputted to the outside. The case body 10 includes an opening 13 in one end, and the opening 13 is directed to the side of the ground when the case body 10 is mounted to the branch.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
