A method of treating pain involves administering to a human in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of hyaluronic acid. In some embodiments, the hyaluronic acid is a non-avian based non-cross linked hyaluronic acid configured to treat post-traumatic and degenerative joint disorders.
