A transmission signal processing apparatus and a transmission signal processing method of the present embodiment broaden the range of use of a system which can transmit and receive ultra-high-resolution image data, thereby allowing a program to be viewed in various forms. According to the embodiment, an encoding apparatus encodes each of items of image data captured in the same space by a plurality of cameras provided at different locations. A streaming apparatus changes items of encoded image data into streams, respectively. A resolution setting apparatus determines a resolution of each item of image data within the streams. A stream selection apparatus selects one or more streams from a plurality of streams within a permissible range of a transmission capacity. A stream synthesis apparatus synthesizes a selected stream and a stream which carries a control signal into one stream, and outputs a synthesized stream. |
