The invention relates to a device for transmitting and/or receiving electromagnetic waves, in particular for a submarine, wherein the device has an antenna unit having a first antenna element and a second antenna element. The antenna unit can be moved between a stowed position retracted in a carrier element and an operating position extended from the carrier element. In the operating position, the antenna unit can optionally be operated in a first mode of operation or in a second mode of operation. Furthermore, in the first mode of operation, the first and the second antenna element are connected so as to form a dipole antenna, and in the second mode of operation, the first and the second antenna element are connected to form a monopole antenna. |
