[Class 132 (ii)] In a cricket bat or like handle built up of cane laminae and furnished with a central solid or tubular metal rod enclosed within a rubber sleeve as described in the parent Specification, one or more resilient strips 6, Fig. 3, are inserted between the laminae 2, 3, and are so arranged that at least one insertion extends wholly or partially around the rubber sleeved rod, Figs. 2 and 6. Insertions 10, 11 of hard wood may be used at either end of the handle and a known type of clip 12 may be driven in for strengthening purposes.</p> |
