摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire an image with higher resolution feeling while reducing the generation of moire and false color when a color reduced image is created.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a pixel unit including a plurality of pixels for converting incident light into electric signals, which is arranged in a matrix; a plurality of types of color filters; and a signal output unit. Each of the plurality of types of color filters transmits light of a different color component, and is arranged in a pixel in accordance with a predetermined color arrangement. The signal output unit reads an electric signal from the pixel unit by adding and thinning to create an image signal of a reduced image. The signal output unit creates each of first and second image signals based on an output of a pixel of a first color, a third image signal based on an output of a pixel of a second color different from the first color, and a fourth image signal based on an output of a pixel of a third color different from the first and second colors, for each sampling point of the reduced image, when adding and thinning. The second image signal above is based on an added pixel of the first color, having space distribution different from that of the first image signal.
