In an exhaust purification system, even when a path switching valve fails, path switching valves are prevented from closing at the same time, to ensure that an exhaust gas path is prevented from closing while an engine is operating. An exhaust purification system for a ship 1 according to the present invention includes a main path 31 in communication with the outside and a bypass path 32 branched from an intermediate portion of the main path 31, each serving as a discharge path 30 for an engine 25 installed in the ship 1. The main path 31 and the bypass path 32 are provided with and opened and closed by respective fluid operated switching valves 37 and 38 of a normally open type. |
