A cylindrical adaptor 1 has an inner bore 4 extending between two open ends. There is an inner wall and an outer wall. The outer wall includes at least three cam elements 9 each extending circumferentially and longitudinally. The adaptor can snap fit to the top of an aerosol canister 19 and allow connection of a filling reservoir 18 or and foaming outlet nozzle. Ideally detents either side of the tracks entrance, and a click stop at its terminal end allow the user to gauge progress of the connection. The tracks can extend about 120 degrees of the adapters circumference; they can have an central portion inclined at 35 degrees to the lower end, and two ends inclined at less than 5 degrees to the lower end. Rotation in the opposite direction can disengage followers from the cam track. The aerosol can may include a sclerosing agent and a microfoaming agent. The presence of a removable annular spacer 14 can prevent components engaging with the cam tracks. |
