PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit for a vibration actuator that is able to restrict rush noise generated from the vibration actuator, a lens barrel, and a camera.SOLUTION: A drive unit 30 for a vibration actuator controls the drive of a vibration actuator 20, which generates a driving force, by applying an alternating signal with two different phases to a piezoelectric body 24, provided on a vibration body 22, thereby vibrating a vibration body. The drive unit comprises: a speed control section 31a configured to control a driving speed by changing the frequency of the alternating signal with the two phases, which is applied to the piezoelectric body; and a driving operation control section 31b configured to control a driving operation, in which a driving operation is altered and stopped, by changing the phase difference p of the alternating signal with the two phases, which is applied to the piezoelectric body. When the driving operation of the vibration actuator is altered, the driving operation control section changes the phase difference gradually with time regardless of the state of the frequency of the alternating signal applied to the vibration actuator. |
