PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-efficient air conditioner, in which a low GWP refrigerant is used.SOLUTION: In an air conditioner, a single refrigerant of a hydrogen fluoride-based refrigerant having double bond of carbon such as HFO-1234YF, or a mixed refrigerant with R-32 mainly composed of the foregoing refrigerant, is used. A refrigerating cycle is configured by connecting an outdoor unit 5 and indoor unit 7 via connecting refrigerant piping 8, 9. The outdoor unit is configured by connecting a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, an outdoor heat exchanger 3, and a pressure reducer 4 via refrigerant piping, respectively. The indoor unit has an indoor heat exchanger 6. An inner diameter of gas side refrigerant piping of the air conditioner with a cooling rated capacity of 4 kW or less is 1.2 to 1.8 times of gas side refrigerant piping of an air conditioner for R-410A at 4 kW or less. Accordingly, the efficiency of the air conditioner can be improved. |
